Work result
The 3.0 V6 EcoBoost engine in the Ford Ranger Raptor uses a dual-turbo setup controlled by a Bosch MG1CSxxx ECU.
The factory calibration is very conservative: torque is limited in several load zones, the throttle is softened, and boost and ignition maps leave a large safety margin.
Stage 1 unleashes this potential safely, without stressing the engine or turbochargers.
Typical gains:
+80–100 hp and +120–150 Nm, depending on fuel quality and model year.
🔧 What we optimize in Stage 1
1. Torque Structure
Ford uses a complex torque model. Adjustments include:
– torque limiters by RPM
– gearbox torque limiters
– temperature-based torque reductions
– airflow-based torque caps
All safety protections remain active.
2. Driver Demand / Throttle Mapping
The pedal response is intentionally soft from factory. We refine it:
– linear and responsive pedal behavior
– stronger request in the 50–100 % range
– quicker tip-in for off-road and highway driving
3. Boost & Turbo Control
Both turbos are capable of more:
– target boost raised by 0.15–0.20 bar
– optimized wastegate control
– improved turbo model for faster spool
4. Fueling / AFR
To ensure clean and powerful combustion:
– richer mixture under WOT for cylinder cooling
– adjusted lambda limits
– optimized injection amount and timing
5. Ignition Timing
On 98/100 RON fuel, we safely advance ignition in high-load zones, producing significant horsepower gains without detonation.
6. Safety Protections
All OEM protection layers remain active:
– EGT
– IAT
– turbo temperature model
– catalyst protection
Stage 1 improves performance without compromising reliability.
