Work result
The JCB 540-170 equipped with Delphi DCM7.24 ECU uses a modern Common Rail diesel engine with SCR (AdBlue).
The stock calibration is highly conservative, leaving a lot of unused potential. Stage 1 tuning unleashes this potential safely, improving performance and drivability without mechanical stress.
Stage 1 is a mild remap focused on efficiency and torque, keeping all safety features active.
Expect about +20 % more power and +25 % more torque, with up to 10 % fuel saving under load.
🔧 Main Calibration Areas
1. Torque Limiters / Load Maps – raised up to 130 % of stock, removing artificial torque caps.
2. Driver’s Demand – throttle response improved, smoother power delivery at 60–100 % pedal.
3. Smoke Limiter / AFR Control – optimized fuel-air ratio (≈ 16.8:1) for clean combustion and no smoke.
4. Boost Pressure / VGT Control – turbo boost increased by 0.1–0.15 bar, safely within turbo limits.
5. Injection Quantity / Duration – up to +10 % fuel per stroke, giving stronger low-end torque.
6. Rail Pressure – raised to 1700–1750 bar for finer atomization and smoother power.
7. EGT / IAT Limiters – temperature protection recalibrated; all engine safeguards remain active.
💧 AdBlue / SCR OFF (optional)
For machines with SCR, the system can be fully disabled in software:
– AdBlue pump and injector deactivation
– NOx sensor signal neutralization
– SCR DTC codes suppressed
– all other diagnostics (EGR, DPF, temperature, pressure) kept operational
No error lights, no limp mode, no AdBlue consumption.
🛡 Safety
All OEM protections (EGT, turbo speed, rail pressure) remain active.
EGR and DPF may stay functional if required.
The engine stays cool and reliable under heavy load.
